MEAN WELL MSP-1000 Features & Benefits
MEAN WELL’s MSP-1000 series adds to its portfolio of high power medical AC/DC chassis power supplies. The MSP-1000 is rated for 1000 watts and operates with a universal AC input range from 90~264Vac. The 12VDC and 15VDC output models will operate at full power to 50ºC, while the 24VDC and 48VDC output models will operate to 60ºC at full power and no derating. Remarkably, MEAN WELL uses the same physical footprint of the MSP-600 series (600 watts) for the MSP-1000 series (1000 watts). That is equal to 40% more power without adding any dimension to the chassis or having to modify system space.
The MSP-1000-12, MSP-1000-15, MSP-1000-24 and MSP-1000-48 models are equipped with current sharing up to 4000 Watts or 3+1 redundancy function. Additional features include: a built-in remote On/Off control and a remote sense function. The MEAN WELL MSP-1000 series is also designed to have a DC OK signal and an active PFC function in addition to a 5Vdc @ 0.3A stand by auxiliary power to control circuitry without operating the main output of the power supply. The MSP-1000 series is extremely efficient, operating up to 94% efficiency.
Medical safety agency approvals for the MEAN WELL MSP-1000 series include: ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1, IEC 60601-1 & 2xMOOP (means of operator protection). The MSP-1000 series also has extremely low touch leakage current of <100 micro amps.
The MEAN WELL MSP-1000 series can be utilized as a MRI Scanner power supply, CAT scanner power supply, PET scanner power supply, medical bed power supply, surgical table power supply, and measurement instrument power supply.
