About EnerSys Genesis EP Pure Lead Batteries:
Introduced in the early 1990s, the Genesis® EP line has become a trusted solution for applications requiring high power, durability, and long-term stability. As detailed on page 1, TPPL technology enables more active material in a smaller footprint, delivering higher power density and superior cycling performance compared to traditional AGM batteries. Genesis EP models offer excellent float life, high stable voltage output, fast recharge capability, and dependable operation in high-temperature and high-vibration environments. The battery’s rugged construction—including pure lead-tin VRLA AGM design, flame-retardant UL 94V-0 case, and installation flexibility in any orientation except inverted. The EP Series supports operating temperatures from -40°C to 80°C (with optional metal jacket), a 2-year shelf life, and up to 400 cycles at 80% depth of discharge. With non-spillable classification, UL recognition, and ISO 9001/14001 manufacturing compliance, Genesis EP batteries deliver proven safety, reliability, and long-term performance across diverse industries such as electronics, renewable energy systems, UPS, and telecommunications.
