About Hammond 1555 Series Watertight Enclosures:

Engineered for demanding applications, the Hammond 1555 Series combines rugged environmental protection with flexible internal mounting capabilities. The enclosure's gasketed tongue-and-groove construction, high-temperature silicone gasket, and corrosion-resistant stainless steel hardware help safeguard sensitive electronics from water, dust, oil, and other contaminants. Polycarbonate models are UV stabilized for outdoor use and independently tested to meet IP66, IP67, and IP68 ingress protection standards as well as NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12, and 13 requirements. ABS versions provide a cost-effective option for indoor installations while maintaining excellent durability and impact resistance. Internal DIN rail mounting tabs, molded PCB card guides, brass inserts, and lid-mounted standoffs simplify system integration and component installation. Available in a wide range of sizes and supported by accessories including inner panels, mounting feet, breather kits, pressure compensation plugs, and cord grips, the Hammond 1555 Series offers a dependable enclosure solution for automation, industrial control, communications, instrumentation, and OEM equipment applications.
