Hammond 1590 Series Diecast Aluminum Enclosures

Hammond Manufacturing 1590 Series diecast aluminum enclosures combine rugged construction, extensive size selection, and flexible mounting options for electronic equipment and PC board applications. The diecast aluminum alloy construction is tough yet easy to machine, making the enclosures well suited for customization with switches, connectors, displays, and other components. Lap joint construction helps protect against dust and splashing water, while the low side-wall draft angle simplifies PC board mounting. The 1590 Series includes configurations without mounting flanges, models with wall-mounting flanges integrated into the lid, and versions with flanged bottom plates. Standard enclosures are designed to meet IP54, while watertight models include a gasket and are designed to meet IP65. Many standard IP54 models can also be upgraded using optional silicone gasket kits and compatible watertight hardware. Available finishes include smooth natural aluminum and textured black polyester powder coat, with select popular sizes also offered in multiple colors. With a wide range of dimensions, mounting styles, replacement hardware, gasket kits, and tamper-resistant hardware options, the 1590 Series provides a versatile enclosure platform for electronic instruments, PCB assemblies, project boxes, and other electronic designs.
