Hammond 1591 Series Multipurpose Enclosures

Hammond Manufacturing 1591 Series multipurpose enclosures provide a versatile housing solution for printed circuit boards, electronic controls, project boxes, and other electronic assemblies. Integral card guides are molded into all side walls to accommodate 1.5 mm (0.062") thick PC boards and simplify vertical PCB installation. Standard versions are constructed from easy-to-machine, flame-retardant ABS plastic with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating, while economy versions use general-purpose ABS for applications that do not require flame-retardant material. Standard models also use machine screws threaded into integral brass bushings, making them particularly well suited for applications requiring repeated assembly and disassembly. The series is available in black and light gray, with numerous enclosure sizes and configurations including models without mounting flanges, versions with wall-mounting flanges molded into the lid, and models with a bottom mounting flange. Optional PC board card adaptors enable horizontal PCB mounting when required, further expanding design flexibility. With IP54 protection, multiple mounting configurations, and a broad range of sizes, the 1591 Series provides a practical enclosure platform for a variety of electronic and PCB-based designs.
