Hammond 1591XX Series ABS Plastic Enclosures

Hammond Manufacturing 1591XX Series multipurpose enclosures provide a flexible housing solution for printed circuit boards, electronic controls, project boxes, and other electronic assemblies. Designed primarily for horizontal PCB mounting, the lid and enclosure feature integral PC board standoffs to simplify installation, while smooth internal side walls on most models provide additional flexibility when installing connectors and other components. Standard black and gray models are constructed from easy-to-machine, flame-retardant ABS plastic with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating, while transparent blue and economy models use general-purpose plastic. Standard versions feature machine screws that thread into integral brass bushings, making them well suited for applications requiring repeated assembly and disassembly, while economy versions use self-tapping screws. The series is designed to meet IP54 and is available in a wide selection of enclosure sizes. Select configurations also feature mounting flanges integrated into the lid, with countersunk mounting holes for installation to a wall or shelf and side openings that allow the enclosure to be secured or suspended using tie wraps. Optional accessory flanges, replacement hardware, and PCB mounting screws provide additional flexibility for customized electronic designs.
