MEAN WELL NPB Programmable Battery Chargers

The MEAN WELL NPB Series includes four intelligent battery charger platforms—NPB-450, NPB-750, NPB-1200, and NPB-1700—delivering charging power from 450W to 1700W. Each series supports 12V, 24V, and 48V battery systems while offering programmable charging parameters including constant current (CC), taper current (TC), constant voltage (CV), and float voltage (FV) through MEAN WELL's SBP-001 programming interface. Selectable 2-stage and 3-stage charging profiles allow optimization for lead-acid, flooded, AGM, gel, LiFePO4, and lithium-ion battery chemistries.

Built-in CANBus communication enables remote monitoring, configuration, and diagnostics, while automatic battery voltage detection simplifies deployment in multi-platform charging applications. Additional intelligent features include adjustable charging current settings, battery full and charger OK signaling, temperature-compensated charging via external NTC sensors, remote ON/OFF control, and automatic derating for enhanced reliability in demanding environments.

Designed for industrial and mobile power systems, the NPB Series operates across a wide temperature range from -30°C to +70°C and incorporates comprehensive protections against reverse polarity, short circuit, over-voltage, over-temperature, and battery faults. With power ratings spanning 450W, 750W, 1200W, and 1700W, the NPB Series is ideally suited for automated guided vehicles (AGVs), robotics, electric vehicles, material handling equipment, telecommunications infrastructure, backup power systems, renewable energy storage, and other battery-powered industrial applications requiring dependable, intelligent charging performance.
