MEAN WELL & TRACO Power Redundancy Modules

Industrial power supply redundancy modules from MEAN WELL and TRACO Power are engineered to improve DC power system reliability by combining multiple compatible power supplies into a redundant configuration. These modules help maintain continuous power to critical equipment by allowing a remaining operational power supply to support the load if another supply fails or becomes disconnected, provided the system is properly sized for redundancy. The MEAN WELL DRDN20 and DRDN40 Series support 1+1 and N+1 redundancy configurations for nominal 12V, 24V, and 48V DC systems, delivering up to 20A and 40A of output current, respectively. Both series utilize MOSFET technology to reduce voltage drop and power losses, offer typical efficiencies of 98%, and incorporate dual-channel DC OK monitoring with alarm relay contacts. Their DIN rail mounting design and operating temperature range of -40°C to +80°C, with derating above +60°C, make them suitable for demanding industrial environments. TRACO Power expands the selection with the TIB-REM480, TSP-REM, and the TPC-REM providing redundancy solutions for compatible industrial power supplies across a variety of power requirements. The TSP-REM Series supports current sharing, hot-swappable inputs, remote On/Off functionality, and alarm outputs, with models rated for up to 360W or 600W of output power. The TPC-REM Series combines compatible TPC power supplies and supports automatic load transfer, with DC OK monitoring and models for 24V and 48V systems.
