TRACO Power TBA 1 Series DC/DC Converters

The TRACO Power TBA 1 Series expands on industry-standard 1 watt DC/DC converter performance with features designed to improve reliability across a broad range of PCB-level applications. Available with nominal input voltages of 3.3, 5, 12, and 24 VDC, the series provides unregulated 3.3, 5, 9, 12, and 15 VDC output options, depending on the model, with efficiencies reaching up to 82%. An integrated continuous short circuit protection circuit provides automatic recovery, while 1,500 VDC input-to-output isolation provides functional isolation between the input and output. The converters operate from -40°C to +85°C without derating, with operation extending up to +95°C with derating above +85°C. Housed in a compact SIP-4 through-hole package measuring approximately 11.68 x 9.65 x 6.0 mm, the TBA 1 Series requires minimal PCB space and weighs just 1.6 grams. With natural convection cooling, an MTBF of 2 million hours, UL 94 V-0 rated housing and potting materials, and a 3-year product warranty, the TBA 1 Series provides a practical DC/DC power conversion solution for designs where board space, cost, and dependable performance are important considerations.
