TRACO TSR 2 DC/DC Converters (POL)

TRACO Power TSR 2 Series switching regulators provide up to 2A of output current with models designed for 5V, 12V, and 24V nominal input systems. Depending on the model, wide input ranges extend from 3VDC up to 36VDC, while fixed output options span 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, 5V, 6.5V, 9V, 12V, and 15VDC. Efficiency reaches up to 96%, enabling full-load operation at ambient temperatures up to +67°C without a heat sink or forced-air cooling, while the overall operating temperature range extends from -40°C to +85°C. The series also provides ±2% maximum output voltage accuracy, low no-load input current, no minimum load requirement, and built-in filter capacitors that eliminate the need for external capacitors under normal operating conditions. Continuous short-circuit protection with automatic recovery, foldback overload protection, output current limiting, and over-temperature protection enhance system reliability. The TSR 2 also offers a calculated MTBF of more than 13.5 million hours and vibration and thermal-shock performance according to MIL-STD-810F. As detailed in the mechanical drawing on page 4, its 14.0 × 7.5 × 10.1 mm SIP3 through-hole package is pin compatible with LMxx linear regulators, making the TSR 2 Series an excellent solution for upgrading existing linear regulator designs as well as new industrial, embedded, and battery-powered applications where efficiency, compact size, and thermal performance are priorities.
