The TRACO Power TSR 2 and TSR 2N Series are high-efficiency, non-isolated step-down DC/DC switching regulators designed as drop-in replacements for traditional linear regulators. Delivering up to 2A of output current in compact SIP packages, these converters dramatically improve system efficiency, reduce heat generation, and eliminate the need for external heat sinks, making them ideal for industrial controls, automation, communications equipment, embedded electronics, battery-powered devices, and OEM designs.

About TRACO Power TSR 2 & TSR 2N DC/DC Converters:

The TSR 2 and TSR 2N Series provide engineers with an easy upgrade from inefficient linear regulators while minimizing redesign effort. The TSR 2 Series features efficiencies up to 96%, built-in filter capacitors, operating temperatures from -40°C to +85°C, and pin compatibility with LMxx linear regulators, delivering superior line and load regulation without requiring external capacitors or cooling. The newer TSR 2N Series offers a highly cost-efficient alternative with a wide 4.6 to 36 VDC input range, efficiencies up to 95%, operating temperatures up to +95°C, and compatibility with TO-220 package linear regulators. Both families incorporate comprehensive protection features including short-circuit protection, overload current limiting, and excellent thermal performance to ensure reliable operation in demanding environments. Their compact SIP-3 footprint, wide selection of output voltages from 1.2V to 15V, and simple drop-in installation make the TSR 2 and TSR 2N Series ideal for upgrading legacy power designs, reducing power consumption, extending battery life, and improving overall system reliability across industrial automation, instrumentation, telecommunications, IoT devices, and embedded control applications.
